The NFL has a chance to make a 2012 scheduling headline when the Pittsburgh Steelers travel to face the Oakland Raiders this season.
How fitting would it be to have both teams play on the 40th anniversary, with December 23rd falling on a Sunday this year. Not sure if the schedule makers will make it happen but fans of the game can only hope.
Franco Harris might even be prompted to make an appearance in Oakland if such an occurrence does happen. Make sure you stay away from the black hole though Franco, because Al’s patrons still haven’t forgotten the events which still holds lore as the biggest play in NFL history.
